Rainbow was a 1930 yacht of the J Class. She narrowly beat out Yankee for the honor of defending the 1934 America's Cup and went on to successfully defend the Cup against Endeavour. Rainbow was a William Starling Burgess design ordered by Harold Vanderbilt and built by our very own Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. This kit makes a great weekend or two project that results in a fine desktop model. Ideal to make and give as a gift, or too keep in your own decor! Designed for all skill levels.
